FTA FUNDAMENTALS: The Spatial Awareness QUOTIENT
Freestyle Trampoline Training at Woodward West with Greg Roe, Domitrick & MaxAir!
Welcome back to another episode of Freestyle Trampoline Education for action sports! 🚀 With the upcoming Action Sports Camp at Woodward West July 6-11, the Freestyle Trampoline Association is working with many companies in action sports to build the sport up.
Today we’re talking about skill development as fostered by the FTA. Greg Roe discovered a huge gap between traditional trampolinist training and freestyle training. This gap is bridged by what is referred to as “The Spatial Awareness Quotient,” a fundamental study of skill development. No longer are routines a rigid, rote memorization of a specific series of skills. Roe breaks skills down to their bare movements. In this way, a flipper can learn an interchangeable stack of skills they can tweak on the fly.
By gradually building skills one element at a time, the FTA is shaping the future of tomorrow’s trampolinists with a strong core. Next week, we’ll dive deeper into crafting tricks the FTA way.
